Congress is about to go on its annual weeks-long summer recess. And for the potential White House hopefuls who serve in the Senate, that can mean only one thing: It's time to go to Iowa, which goes first in the presidential nominating process.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) will be in the Hawkeye State on Saturday raising money for state Sen. Joni Ernst, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate. Rubio will attend a fundraiser for Ernst hosted by Bruce Rastetter as well as Rastetter's annual summer party, the Des Moines Register reports.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) will also be in Iowa. The Register report Cruz will also be at the two events.

Cruz will be back the following weekend for an annual Christian conservative confab in Ames.

Next week, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) will be in Iowa for a statewide tour. He kicks it off Monday in Council Bluffs.
