Michelle Nunn, the Democratic Senate nominee in Georgia, is attacking her Republican opponent in a television ad for the first time.
In the new 30-second commercial released Tuesday, Nunn's campaign slams David Perdue's private sector experience. Her ad says Perdue's companies outsourced jobs.
"David Perdue: His world doesn't include you," the narrator concludes.
The commercial comes amid an increasingly negative battle over the airwaves. A conservative super PAC recently launched an ad criticizing Nunn over a leaked strategy document in which her top aides lay out her vulnerabilities.
Perdue is the former CEO of Dollar General. He won the GOP nomination last month after a hard-fought runoff campaign against Rep. Jack Kingston. Nunn is the daughter of former senator Sam Nunn (D-Ga.) and the former head of Points of Light, a nonprofit that encourages volunteerism.
Polls have shown the race is competitive. Georgia is one of Senate Democrats' two best pickup opportunities, along with Kentucky. Republicans need to gain six seats to win back the Senate majority.
A Perdue spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Nunn's new ad.
