House approves ‘fiscal cliff’ deal

The U.S. House has voted 257 to 167 to approve a bill allowing taxes to rise on the wealthy, extending unemployment benefits for millions and delaying deep automatic spending cuts in federal spending for two months, ending the long national drama over the fiscal cliff.
