Obama to hold first-ever Twitter town hall

President Barack Obama only recently started sending his own tweets from his Twitter account, and now the White House announced that he will be conducting the first-ever presidential Twitter Town Hall on Wednesday.

Obama will be answering questions about the economy and jobs submitted by Twitter users with the hashtag #AskObama. Twitter co-founder and executive chairman Jack Dorsey will moderate the conversation.

The town hall will start at 2 p.m. in the East Room.

Last week, Obama’s Twitter account changed hands — it will now be updated by his reelection staff. Tweets from Obama on that account will be signed “-BO.”

Obama sent out his first message through his @BarackObama Twitter account to celebrate Father’s Day.
