Training exercises to maintain the region’s air defense readiness will be conducted in the Washington region over a two-day period beginning Monday, according to military officials.
The operation known as Falcon Virgo is slated to take place between 11 p.m. Monday and 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, and between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The military has regularly conducted such preparedness exercises throughout North America since the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
