A Fairfax County woman was killed over the weekend after losing control of her car in Franconia, police said.
Casey Noriega, 29, of Alexandria, was driving south on Beulah Street around 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon. As she approached Windsor Avenue, investigators said, she drove off the road and struck a pole.
Noriega was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said neither speed nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the crash. The incident is still under investigation.
