A new action movie called “Safe House” is filming in Washington this weekend.

The D.C. Office of Motion Picture and Television Development says the film starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds is filming in the nation’s capital. The movie is slated for release in 2012.
Most of the filming has been done in South Africa. The film office says movie is about an American traitor who is captured by a CIA employee. After their safe house is attacked, the agent and his prisoner are on a mission of survival.
