Even as the flooding recedes and Virginia begins to clean up after Tropical Storm Lee, hard-hit Fairfax County is still dealing with closed roads and bridges throughout the area.

Virginia’s Department of Transportation offers updates on road conditions throughout the state on 511virginia.org.

The following roads and bridges remain closed, deemed “impassable” by VDOT due to heavy flooding:

Bridges:

— Beach Mill Road over Nichols Branch.

— Lorton Road over Giles Run.

Roads:

— Essex Avenue: Both directions, at Middlesex Avenue

— Hillside Road: Both directions, between Moverly Court and Cameo Square.

— Hunter Mill Road: Both directions, between Crowell Road and Chamberlain Drive.

— Miller Road: Both directions, at Westhurst Lane.

— Sunrise Valley Drive: Eastbound, between Glade Drive and Mercator Drive.

— Walker Road: Both directions, between Colvin Run Road and Walker Mill Road.
