Power lost in Saturday’s thunderstorms has been almost completely restored, Washington area utility companies said.
Dominion Virginia Power reports that all outages have been repaired. About 155,000 customers, primarily in the western and northern sections of Fairfax County, Falls Church, and Arlington County, were affected.
According to Pepco, only 27 outages remain in the District and Montgomery and Prince’s George’s counties. About 76 customers in those areas are affected, Pepco said.
Baltimore Gas and Electric said it completed restoration late Sunday afternoon.
The outages were caused by high winds and heavy rain in Saturday’s short-lived storms.
