Man injured in Southeast D.C. shooting

D.C. police are investigating a shooting Saturday afternoon in Southeast Washington.

A police spokesman said a man was shot about 2:20 p.m. in the 3600 block of Stanton Road SE. He was conscious and alert after the incident, police said.

Police did not release the man’s name. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said they have no suspect and no motive in the shooting.
