A man was shot in the leg inside the Georgia Avenue-Petworth Metro station Thursday night, D.C. police said.
Authorities were called to the station in the 3700 block of Georgia Avenue about 9:45 p.m. and found a man shot in the leg, police and Metro officials said. The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said Steven Taubenkibel, a Metro spokesman.
Transit police are investigating but have no motive for the shooting, Taubenkibel said.
