Prince George’s Fire and EMS are on the scene of a multi-vehicle accident in Temple Hills where one person was reportedly trapped in a vehicle.
Mark Brady, spokesman for the county fire department, said authorities received several calls about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday reporting that there had been an accident on the inner loop of the Capital Beltway at Branch Avenue. Callers told officials that there were at least three vehicles — a tractor trailer, a box truck and a pick-up truck involved in the accident.
Brady said a heavy duty rescue squad was working to extricate the person trapped in the vehicle.
A large contingent of rescuers and their equipment are on the scene and in lanes in both the inner and outer loops, Brady said. Expect traffic delays in the area.
