Police, family seek missing D.C. campus minister

Editor’s note: Police on Sunday said Hill had been found.

WASHINGTON — Police in the District of Columbia are searching for a 26-year-old man who hasn’t been seen for days.

Police say Matthew Alan Hill, who did campus ministry at George Washington University, was last seen Tuesday in the Chinatown neighborhood of the city.

Hill’s father, Holger Hill, said Friday his son’s debit card was last used around noon on Tuesday at a gas station in Arlington, Va.

Hill said his son had been in Chinatown that morning to drop off a student he was mentoring.

He says his son’s disappearance is very uncharacteristic of him and that he always keeps in touch with his loved ones.

Police have classified Hill’s disappearance as a “critical” missing person’s case and are seeking the public’s help in locating him.
