Police investigate fight on Metro bus

Montgomery County police were investigating a fight on a Metro bus Wednesday evening in the Silver Spring area.

Police were called to University Boulevard and Colesville Road about 6:45 p.m., said Officer Howard Hersh, a police spokesman. No injuries or arrests were reported.

Metro spokeswoman Cathy Asato said the driver of the Z8 route bus, which travels between Silver Spring station and the Greencastle Park and Ride lot, called Metro officials after several people were involved in an altercation on the bus.

Metro officials said one person used pepper spray on the bus, but police officials could not confirm that report.
