Police are scheduled to do the free check-up between noon and 4 p.m. Saturday at the Forestville Military Academy. It’s open to the public and appointments are not necessary.

The first five car seats that are unsafe or have been recalled will be replaced by the Prince George’s Community Federal Credit Union.

The checks are being done by certified car seat technicians, who will be looking to make sure that they’re installed correctly and will be checking for recalls.
