Suspicous package in Adams Morgan

Update: 2:16 p.m.: Police gave the “all-clear” in Adams Morgan, but would not say what was in the package.

Police have closed the intersection of 18th Street and Columbia Street, N.W. in Adams Morgan as they investigate a suspicious package in the area.

D.C. police said the intersection was closed shortly after noon on Sunday, and Metro buses have been rerouted from the area. A bomb unit is on the scene and is evaluating the situation, police said.
