Two D.C. teens were sentenced Friday for their part in a December armed robbery near a Northeast Metro station, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District said.
Authorities said the guilty plea stemmed from a Dec. 7 robbery in which the pair followed a youth as he walked from the Metro station onto nearby 12th Street NE.
One pulled a handgun. The victim handed over his coat, sweater, Metrorail pass, and cell phone. The teen then told the victim, “Go in the house and call the police.” Officers stopped the pair nearby, and the victim identified both of them.
