Bullis forward Lynee Belton (sort of) narrows her list

Bullis forward Lynee Belton, considered by many to be one of the top 25 players nationally for the Class of 2014, has narrowed down her list of college choices.

Well, “narrowed down” is a relative term. She’s whittled her list to about 15 schools and does not plan to commit until this summer after the AAU season.

“I just have to pick the right school that fits me,” said the 6-foot-2 Belton, who scored 19 first-half points in a loss at Georgetown Visitation on Monday but in part because of foul trouble was limited to four points in the second half.

“I want to major in probably pre-med. My grandmother is a survivor of breast cancer, so I want to help people out, especially in the medical field.”

Belton, interested in neuroscience or radiology specifically, would not have to look far for recruiting advice. Senior teammates Dazia Hall (Richmond) and Brittany Jackson (George Mason)  have both committed.
