Freshman Alyssa Allender hit a three-run home run for Glen Burnie. The victory sends the Gophers to the Maryland 4A state semifinals. This is the first time Glen Burnie has made it to the state semifinals since 1998 when they won the state title.

Chesapeake broke a scoreless tie, courtesy of a run by Alex Braun. Glen Burnie freshman Alyssa Allender provided the heroics for the Gophers, connecting with a three-run home run.
