Video: No. 2 St. John’s beats No. 1 Paul VI on Darian Anderson’s buzzer-beater

The first time top-ranked Paul VI and No. 2 St. John’s met this season, the Panthers rolled to a 20-point win on the Cadets’ home court on Dec. 12.

Funny how things can change in a month and a half in the WCAC.

In last night’s rematch in Fairfax, the two teams traded punches down the stretch, but St. John’s senior guard Darian Anderson delivered the decisive blow with a buzzer-beating three-pointer that gave the Cadets a wild 71-68 win.

The Post’s Chelsea Janes had her phone at the ready on the final possession.

And here’s that shot again (and again).

Anderson, as he non-chalantly said in a post-game interview, “was ready for whatever.”
