McNamara’s Ramar Williams, Wootton’s Trevon Diggs to compete in International Bowl

With another National Signing Day in the books, the focus of the high school football year will shift back to the gridiron this weekend for the International Bowl.

Beginning Friday and stretching through Saturday, USA Football and the University of Texas-Arlington’s Maverick Stadium will host six games between teams boasting some of the top high-school age players from the U.S. and Canada.

A handful of local athletes will be featured in this year’s International Bowl series, including second-team All-Met Wootton wide receiver Trevon Diggs and a pair of honorable mention All-Mets — Arundel linebacker Diondre Wallace and McNamara quarterback Ramar Williams. Here’s a list of all the area representatives along with the schedule of games:
