Well, we picked the wrong gala to skip last month. The annual OSS Society dinner always draws an array of military brass, diplomats and retired spies to honor the CIA’s precursor, the Office of Strategic Services. This year’s party on Oct. 27, it turns out, welcomed both
David Petraeus
.and
Paula Broadwell
It was weeks after she was first interviewed by the FBI, and days before he was.
We’re told that the two — who sources have told the Post broke up months earlier — arrived separately and did not sit together, though they chatted at a VIP reception. NBC obtained a photo of her there in a dazzling multi-colored floor-length gown. The speech-heavy dinner was a fun but long night: Broadwell noted to a friend she didn’t get home until 2:30 a.m. So, there’s that. During WWII, the OSS’s well-bred agents earned it the nickname “Oh So Social” — what about “Oh So Sexy”? Sorry, couldn’t resist.
