JFK knocks out George Washington during the Nationals vs. Phillies game on Wednesday.

The Nationals introduced a new giant foam-head — John F. Kennedy — to the Racing Presidents lineup Wednesday night. JFK knocked George Washington out by kneecapping him with a bat. But he won’t be a regular, according to the Nats: “JFK made an appearance last night to celebrate Thomas Jefferson’s 268th birthday, and Tom asked him to participate in the race,” the team told our colleague Dan Steinberg. “He may make some scattered appearances through the season, but nothing is definite yet.” For those keeping track: Jefferson won.
