• George Clinton touring the Air and Space Museum Wednesday morning. The P-Funk frontman — in town to perform at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival this evening — left behind his usual regal stage garb (wigs, feathers, shades) to dress down in a dark suit, pink shirt, blingy tie pin and hat. Naturally, he checked out the spaceships — his own iconic “Mothership” concert prop is headed to the Smithsonian’s forthcoming National Museum of African American History and Culture.
• Michelle Kwan sharing raw oysters with an unidentified fellow at Pearl Dive near Logan Circle Tuesday night. Casually dressed in tank top and shorts. (Yeah, the Olympic skater lives here now, but you know, folks still get excited about seeing her.)
