• John Kerry taking in some culture Wednesday evening at the Phillips Collection. The senator toured the new “Snapshot: Painters and Photography, Bonnard to Vuillard” collection on its opening night.
• Alice Waters dining at Proof on Wednesday night with two friends — gnocchi, foie gras spaghetti, Brussels sprouts and white wine, among other dishes on the table. The California food goddess, whose image was unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery last week, seems to like our local cuisine; she’s also been seen at Rasika and Comet Ping-Pong in recent days.
