• Katie Couric power-walking through McLean on a three-mile circuit near Georgetown Pike on Saturday morning. Chatting away with two friends (who it turns out were her childhood pals Betsy Howell and Tracy Miller). The Arlington native, back home visiting her mom, looked extremely fit, reports another early a.m. exerciser, “plus younger and prettier in person despite being makeup-less like everyone else at 8 a.m. on such a hot summer day.”
• Antonin Scalia sipping pisco sours at Lincoln Sunday night. The Supreme Court justice and his dining companion, Peruvian ambassador Luis Valdivieso, also indulged in a dozen oysters before their entrees.

• Dominic Monaghan heading to the fourth-floor suites at FedEx Field Saturday night after the Manchester United-Barcelona game. Hair in a fauxhawk. Did not respond when a fan called, “Hi, Charlie!” (his character from “Lost”).
• Ian Somerhalder dining at Acqua Al 2 Thursday night. The azure-eyed, dark-suited “Vampire Diaries” star greeted Sen. Tom Harkin, among other diners in the Capitol Hill restaurant that night. Was in town celebvocating for endangered-species protection.
• Lee Anne Wong chowing down at Toki Underground on H St. NE Friday. The “Top Chef” veteran was on a D.C. fine-dining tear that evening, according to her Twitter trail, also hitting Oyamel and Church Key the same night.
