• The president and first lady at Bourbon Steak in Georgetown on Saturday. The Obamas belatedly celebrated their 20th anniversary at the Four Seasons Hotel’s upscale restaurant with a private dinner for two. It’s unclear what they ate: Chef Adam Sobel proudly tweeted a tasting menu — oops, not such a private dinner after all — but then quickly deleted the photo. (Not, however, before the Obama Foodorama blog grabbed a copy.) On Sunday, Sobel tweeted to the blog that the Obamas skipped the tasting menu and opted to go a la carte, but he declined to comment further.
• David Plouffe also enjoying a date night Saturday at New Heights restaurant. Obama’s senior advisner and his wife took time out from the campaign grind for a dinner of tomatillo soup, rockfish and a fig-rosemary linzer tart.
