• Alice Waters dining at Rasika Wednesday night. The famed American restaurateur, along with chef Jan Buhrman and Joan Nathan of Martha’s Table, ate the signature palak chaat and a selection of vegetarian dishes. In town for the annual Martha’s Table/D.C.Central Kitchen benefits this weekend.

• Jill Biden working out at Barre3 Tuesday night. The veep’s wife (gray pants and top, ponytail) slipped quietly into the new Georgetown studio for the 6:30 p.m. class; everyone tried not to stare.
