James Taylor, also honored at the same ceremony, passed through as well.

• A passel of grizzled Gen-X rockers — Dave Navarro, Sebastian Bach, Mark McGrath, Matt Sorum and others -- lunching at the W's rooftop POV Thursday, after a tour of the White House. Navarro's supergroup Camp Freddy were playing a veterans' benefit at 9:30 Club that night.

• Michelle Obama lunching at Equinox Thursday with Mexican first lady Margarita Zavala de Calderón after the two visited Oyster-Adams Bilingual Elementary in Adams Morgan.
