It’s always hoops season for Arne Duncan, the basketball-obsessed Secretary of Education: To the delight of surprised fans, the 6’ 5” former Harvard (and briefly pro) player showed up at Georgetown’s Kenner

League Sunday afternoon and played for a team named “Can’t Be Stop.” (Hey, Arne: Grammar gets the summer off?) The annual summer college showcase always gets some VIP drop-ins, but this was the first time a Cabinet secretary hit the court, reports our colleague Dan Steinberg. Missed it? Duncan will be at the USA Basketball “Hoops for Troops” men’s practice Saturday at the D.C. Armory — unclear if he’ll suit up, but he’s not really a sit-on-the-bench kind of guy, is he?
