In other news: Axelrod mustache shaving scheduled; Kate exits hospital; Stephen Baldwin charged

David Axelrod. (John Gress/FTWP)
• The most famous mustache in Washington is marked for extinction: David Axelrod is set to shave his facial hair of nearly 40 years on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Friday sometime after 7 a.m., now that his Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy has reached a $1 million fundraising goal. “There’s nothing in the fine print that says I can never grow it back,” the Obama strategist told us Sunday, on a final black-tie outing with his ’stache at the Kennedy Center Honors. “My wife has the final say. But it’s a little freaky for me.” (Update: Axelrod shaved!)

• Kate Middleton, aka the Duchess of Cambridge, left a London hospital Thursday, three days checking in for acute morning sickness. Another reason not to be jealous: She had to pose for photos on the way out.

• Prosecutors charged Stephen Baldwin with failing to pay New York state taxes for three years, amassing a $350K debt, reports the AP. The actor pleaded not guilty, says he’s working it all out with the state. (Which Baldwin is he? Alec’s youngest brother, the Republican one.)
