In other news: Cosby disses Simmons; Keillor to retire... in two years

Cosby, Simmons. (AP )

Russell Simmons claims that Bill Cosby told him to “get the [expletive] out of my face” at a recent awards-show run-in — but that, you know, Simmons respects that. The music mogul wrote on his blog that since he had previously quibbled with Cosby over the comic's critiques of hip-hop culture, he was eager to make nice with Cosby when he ran into him at a Jackie Robinson Foundation event. Not only did Cosby curse him out, though, he gave Simmons a “straight up old school pre b-boy” shoulder-shove as Simmons tried to walk past. “I then loved him even more,” Simmons wrote on globalgrind.com. “He’s from the same hood I’m from, just got a lucky break like me.” Through his rep, Cosby told us, “I don't want to discuss it.”

• Garrison Keillor, 68, tells AARP Bulletin that he’s retiring — in two years. First, he has to find a someone to take over his “Prairie Home Companion” radio show. “I sure don’t want to make a fool of myself and be singing romantic duets with 25-year-old women when I’m 75.”
