• You know who probably doesn’t need a free ride to college? Diddy’s son. But Justin Combs has committed to a football scholarship at UCLA. The prep school defensive back also fielded offers from several other schools. “This is everything a father could want in his son,” the rap mogul said in a statement to reporters, “for him to excel at what he loves to do.”

• You know who probably doesn’t need an extra $625K? Kate Middleton’s sister. But Pippa Middleton has signed a deal to write a book on party hostessing for an imprint of Penguin, due out next year, the Daily Mail reports. The 28-year-old bridesmaid of the year is a professional party planner; her parents made their fortune with a mail-order party supplies company.
