In other news: Eva Longoria, Drake, Flavor Flav

Longoria (Andrew Burton/Reuters)
• Eva Longoria apologized, sort of, on Twitter on Thursday for retweeting someone else’s lewd comment calling Mitt Romney a “racist/misogynistic [expletive].” The actress, a chairman and top fundraiser for the Obama campaign, at first deleted the offending tweet and implied that a Twitter glitch was to blame — but later wrote that she uses “Twitter as a platform for all Americans and their opinions. Sorry if people were offended.”

• Who knew Drake was a high school dropout? The heartthrob rapper, 25, announced Thursday that he just completed his diploma after five months of study. Seems that the former Canadian child star left school for a television role.

• Flavor Flav, 53, the former hip-hop hype man who found later fame on reality TV, was released from jail in Las Vegas on Thursday after being arrested for allegedly beating his fiancee and threatening her son. Due back in court soon for charges of felony assault and misdemeanor domestic battery, reports the Associated Press.
