• Lauryn Hill abruptly dropped out of the spotlight after her smash hit 1998 solo debut, but she was still earning a nice living through the 00’s — at least according to the feds, who have charged her with failing to file income tax returns on $1.6 million in income from 2005 to 2007. The R&B star, who has a court date later this month in Newark, faces up to a year in prison and $100K in fines, reports the Associated Press. Other stars who’ve run afoul of the IRS in recent years include Nicolas Cage and Wesley Snipes.
