Trouble brewing for Reese Witherspoon’s parents: Her mother has gone to court in Nashville seeking to invalidate her husband’s second marriage because, well, he’s still married to her. Mary Elizabeth Witherspoon, 63, claims in a new filing that John Drake Witherspoon, 70, from whom she is amicably separated, is living with a new wife who may be taking financial advantage of what she calls his “early onset of dementia,” reports the Associated Press. She claims she only learned of the wedding from a newspaper announcement and that her husband told her he didn’t recall getting remarried. Neither the Oscar-winning actress nor her father have commented on the matter.
