• Rafalca, one of Ann Romney’s show horses, finished a disappointing 15th despite what one equestrian writer described as “a crowd-pleasing performance” at the World Cup Dressage finals in the Netherlands. Rider Jan Ebeling was the top U.S. finisher in the field of 18, though.

• You know what Washington people seem never to tire of talking about? Watergate. A Q&A dinner with Post veterans Ben Bradlee, Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward was the top auction item at a Sidwell Friends School scholarship auction Saturday, with 25 people paying $2,500 a head to chat about the Nixon scandal for a total of $62,500.
