Venus Williams (Charles Krupa/AP) • So, turns out Venus Williams has an interior design firm — did everyone else already know this? And now, an interesting local commission: Her company, V*STARR, will decorate the new city hall and community center for tiny Seat Pleasant, according to a very excited news release from the town government Thursday. Unclear how she got picked for the job — the buildings are part of a larger complex being constructed by a private developer, Kratos Infrastructure, which did not return calls, so probably no public bidding involved. The tennis champ is scheduled to address the Sept. 29 groundbreaking — but only via pre-recorded video.
