Inauguration party mayhem!: Lupe Fiasco’s rant, Barbara Walter’s fall, the epic Running of the Balls

Things got off to a crazy start this weekend long before the swearing-in. Sunday night, rapper Lupe Fiasco, booked to play a party for tech start-ups, got hustled off the stage after a half-hour anti-Obama rant.

A night earlier, Barbara Walters fell at an inauguration party at the British embassy; sent to the hospital for a cut on her head, she will not be on the air this weekend.

And of course, that same night, Monica Hesse and Dan Zak braved a gantlet of line dancers, fried Twinkies, and elected officials in their race to see who could get to the most inaugural galas in one night. The results of this Running of the Balls? Well, go read their story now.
