Now that Jon Huntsman has thrown his support to Mitt Romney, maybe we can keep his sparkplug daughters on the trail, too, in support of the GOP frontrunner?
Sigh, probably not. The wacky self-styled “Jon 2012 Girls” were magnets for the cameras and Internet sensations for their goofy videos. But in one previously unseen video they made Romney the butt of the joke. Salt Lake City’s ABC-4 obtained the footage. It shows the 20-something Mary Anne, Abby and Liddy in spectacular blonde wigs as the mock anchors for “Foxes and Friends,” interviewing Romney. . . as played by a bobblehead. “You can safely say now that Iowa does pick cornballs,” jokes one.
“If you were attacked by a honey badger, would you be able to defend yourself?” one asks. The Romney doll shakes his head no. But when asked if he’s “stiff and unable to connect to the America voter,” the bobblehead goes dead still. “Decisive as always!” snarks a Huntsman. We’re told that, for all the fun, campaign folks decided it might not be wise to release before the primary. The trio issued a final farewell on Twitter Monday: “Many flames burn out in politics, our Dad’s has just been ignited. What an incredible journey for our family. Thanks for all the support!” (see excerpts from the video...)
