Lindsay Lohan on track for Correspondents’ dinner

The Internet was terribly concerned Friday over TMZ’s report that Lindsay Lohan had missed her afternoon flight from Los Angeles to Washington — had the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner just lost its buzziest guest?

Oh, calm down: You think there’s only one flight from LAX to D.C.? Late Friday night, the starlet was spotted boarding a red-eye that would give her plenty of time to make Saturday night dinner with the president, her hosts Greta Van Susteren and John Coale, and 3,000 other people.

Update, 3 p.m.:

The first sighting of her came at a garden brunch in Georgetown hosted by a cadre of D.C. power players (Tammy Haddad, Mark Ein, Hilary Rosen among them). She was kind of channeling a ginger Kate Middleton today — long glossy hair, ladylike white dress with matching coat, Jackie O sunglasses — but with Greta Van Susteren, defense attorney Shawn Holley and Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner acting as the palace guard, deftly escorting her to a photo op and then to a quiet corner before exiting about an hour later.
