Born: A son to openly gay Colorado Rep. Jared Polis (D) and partner Marlon Reis Friday. The new parents declined to say whether 8 lb., 12 oz. Caspian Julius was adopted or born via a surrogate, but joked in a birth announcement that the "baby has learned to cry already!” reports the Boulder Weekly.
