Alison Starling, 37, of ABC-7 and Peter Alexander, 35, of NBC News. The journalists met years ago working in Seattle but didn’t start dating until they both migrated to the East Coast. After weathering long distances (he’s a globe-trotting correspondent based in NYC) and her years on the early shift (she’s now anchoring at 5 and 11 p.m. here in D.C.), he proposed to her Saturday night in Paris.
