Divorced: General Dynamics CEO Jay L. Johnson and his wife Garland, after 42 years of marriage. Fairfax County court records show they filed divorce papers in February; a rep at Johnson’s company declined comment. A retired four-star admiral, Johnson is best known for his term as chief of naval operations before he entered the private sector a decade ago.With a $13 million pay package from the Falls Church defense conglomerate, he ranked last year in the top 10 of the region’s best compensated CEOs. The Johnsons have one child, Cullen, who was first runner-up in the 1994 Miss America pageant.
