Love, etc.: Howard Buffett and Lili Thomas wed

Married: Howard W. Buffett, 27, and Lili Thomas, 25. Billionaire Warren Buffett’s grandson and the new Columbia University graduate exchanged vows in Omaha a month ago but celebrated again with a small reception last weekend at the Hay-Adams for friends from his recent stint in Washington: The Obama 2008 campaign staffer worked in the White House, then took a Defense Department assignment aimed at improving Afghan agriculture. (Sorry you missed your chance to nab a marriageable Buffett, D.C. ladies.) He and Thomas connected at an agriculture conference (she has Nebraska farming roots), and he proposed last year in the White House Rose Garden. They’re now splitting time between Omaha and Decatur, Ill, where he runs his father Howard G. Buffett’s charitable foundation.
