• Apologizing: Superstarlet Kristen Stewart, 22, who issued an unusual public statement of regret Wednesday for cheating on her equally famous boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, 26, with a married film director, Rupert Sanders. Huh, what, why? Because this was the even more uncommon situation where paparazzi photos existed to document said cheating. Yes, US magazine images of Stewart and Sanders in apparent mid-canoodle. Stars — are they slipping up or what?
Stewart’s agonized apology (“this momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life”) was also noteworthy in that she’d previously barely acknowledged that she’s dating her “Twilight” co-star. An apology was also issued to People magazine by Sanders, who directed her in “Snow White and the Huntsman.” Everyone here needs to get out more and meet new people, don’t you think?
