Engaged: Maryland Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Karmen Bailey Walker, his office announced Monday afternoon. The 49-year-old lawmaker — and likely Democratic contender for governor in 2014 — has been a single dad since his 2008 split from wife Patricia, midway through his first term. Walker, 52, is a director of government affairs for cable giant Comcast (but not a registered lobbyist in Annapolis, according to state records) and the widow of a Prince George’s County Fraternal Order of Police president, Cpl. Anthony Walker, who died in a 2003 car accident. They’ll get married in summer of 2012 and “look forward to celebrating the occasion with all of our friends and family,” they said in a statement. Brown has two children, Rebecca, 16, and Jonathan, 10; Walker has a son also named Anthony, 11.
