Married: MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts and Patrick Abner in Manhattan Saturday. While with CNN in 2006, the journalist, 39, was the first national anchorman to come out as gay; he’s now the first to wed a same-sex partner. (“I fully believe in traditional marriage,” he told the NY Observer last month. “You want one, go get one.”) Abner, also 39, is an HIV community liaison for the pharmaceutical company Merck. Roberts was back behind the midday anchor desk this week — they’ll honeymoon in Rio later this month.
