Born: A son, Owen, to Patrick Kennedy and Amy Petitgout, on Sunday evening. Six pounds, 15 ounces. He’s the first born for the former Rhode Island congressman, the late Ted Kennedy’s youngest son. He and Petitgout — the New Jersey school teacher he met shortly before he left politics to become an advocate for brain research — wed last July. She has a young daughter, Harper, by a previous marriage. In a birth announcement late Sunday, Kennedy’s older brother, Ted Jr., said that “Owen stopped crying only when he was in his big sister’s arms.”
