He’s the environmental activist/consultant and scion of the French ocean-exploring family; she’s the E! News correspondent and anchor. The charismatic Cousteau made a big splash in young Washington social circles when he moved here about a decade ago, but two years ago he met Gorse out in L.A. while delivering a lecture about the BP oil spill to concerned showbiz folks at an “Artists and Athletes” confab. It’s been a jet-setting romance ever since: Her work is there, his remains here.
